I purchased this as a set of 10 stamps. All stamps are the same and show captain Haddock from the comic 'Tintin' by Hergé. The stamp was released in 2007 by poste France. The sextant could be a C.Plath sextant and is correctly depicted although the index filter seems a bit high up to be very effective. What is strange is captain Haddock using his left eye to take the sun shot where most would prefer their right eye.
