Imhof Royal Geographic Society clock
Imhof Royal Geographic Society clock. Obtained from the Netherlands
This Royal Geographic Society clock is somewhat of a strange clock. The clock itself is made by Swiss Imhof and was sold by the RGS in 1979. It is a 24 hour clock showing the time on the white band around the foot of the globe. The globe itself does not rotate automatically but can be set to a timezone thus showing time differences around the world.
When we obtained it, it was not running. However a quick clean sorted that out and every since it is a pride in our living room. Not because it is running well (we keep it stopped) or because it is such high quality (it isn't) but because of its decorative value. It does stand out in black and gold colours.
