Wild Heerbrugg GHT10 / GRT10
Wild Heerbrugg tripod adapter for survey targets and prism
GHT obtained from the US, GRT from Japan
The GHT10 and GRT10 are almost identical except for the length of the target 'pin'. The dark green GHT10 has a shorter pin and was probably meant for regular targets whereas the GRT10 has a longer pin allowing the target to be higher. It was probably meant for prism reflectors.
Both the GRT10 and the GHT10 can be adjusted for either the T1 / T16 on the one hand or the T2 / TC1 on the other hand. This is achieved by a small screw which locks the pin into the adapter. This allows adjusting the targets for the different centre heights of the different instruments. This way swapping a theolodite with a target can be done without any change in angles (provided the correct type of adapter is used; the GRT10 and GHT10 have different heights as observed above).
