A strange object, this is an adapter which can be used to position an instrument level, it is an adapter that can be placed on a tripod using the tribrach. The top is a very stable metal plaque (at least, I think it is metal, probably Zinc). The parts seem partly Wild Heerbrugg and partly either taken from some other instrument (other brand) and adapted. The result is an adapter that fits a tribrach on one side and has a 5/8" thread on the other. Whatever is put on it can be rotated as well. Strange object, any more information is welcome.
