I needed a Leica compatible prism for teaching. It had to be a modern one with the prism in the target as all the others are not suitable for my TC1610 that I acquired. The ones for use with a separate DI have the prism and target separated. As no originals came up at a price I could afford I decided to order a similar one from China. Surprise, surprise, not only did it arrive too late for the class I intended it for, but also it came branded with all the Leica logo's and numbers. And to be honest, it works great as well; it also seems to have the same prism constant as far as I have been able to test it. The metal plate seems a bit more flimsy but that is about it... Maybe it was made in the same factory where Leica orders theirs?
