This is a large drawing set by Lilley & Son. All the instruments exept for the small compasses are marked with a makers name. The pencil is not from the set and is marked Johan Faber. The parallel rule, scale bar and sector are ivory or ivorine and probably were not original to this set. The two triangles are original and also stamped with a makers mark. The case is marked with an owners name but only the 'W' is still readable. As it came from the same auction as the Geoffrey Watt drawing chest in my collection I assume it was from the same owner. The key is still there but the lock is no longer rotating. The entire set has seen heavy use by its previous owner and is not in pristine condition.
