This long range version of the Distomat could achieve an accuracy of 5 mm + 1 ppm which for a relatively small package was very good. In contrast to the smaller units it has a different type of power cable as well as a keyboard and signal strength meter build into the unit. It took some time before I obtained the correct cable to actually test it but found (like all other Distomats in my collection) that it still works very well.
