Laserline LR2020d
Product details: Laserline LR2020d | Laserline Mfg | Digital theodolites | Survey |
This is a combination of a digital theodolite and a line laser. As a theodolite it is not exception at 20" but the laser is incredible. Using a mere 5 mW it outputs a straight line over distances up to 1 statute mile (1600 m). At that distance the laser spot is around 10 cm wide. A quick test at an object about 900 m away clearly showed up in the scope at night. During day time the spot loses brightness quickly. This instrument is also equpped with the fan lens creating a horizontal fan of 1320 feet / mile (or around 0.25 m / m distance. The range in fan mode is much less but still covers a few hundred meters at ease during night.
The laser is used in e.g. tunnel or road construction to create a visible straight line as set out using the theodolite. This instrument used to belong to Boskalis and was donated to Skilltrade. As there was no use for the laser within Skilltrade they donated it to my collection.
