Product details: Wild Heerbrugg T2000s-MOT | Wild Heerbrugg | Digital theodolites | Survey |
I obtained a pair of these from Germany not knowing whether these were originals or modified instruments. However a T2000s was lacking in my collection and this was at least based on that. After some research I received a brochure from the Virtual Wild Archive clearly showing this a genuine orginal product. No idea ow many were made but I donated the other (damaged) one to the Leica museum in Switzerland (in return for some parts for my GAK1).
It seems that this was the first 'robotic' theodolite by Wild. It has an optical system that not only should produce a laser beam but also allows the system to pick it up and track it if I understand the patent I found online. It is fitted for autocollimation using the separate light on the telescope as a regular theodlite would. The servo motors are in the portrusions on top, next to the telescope and at the bottom (respective vertical, focus, horizontal) and can be disengaged using the knobs. I have not been able to get them running as I'm lacking the proper software or schematics.
Any further information is appreciated.
