This is the older version of the Hoppy G2. It differs from the newer version in the target (double lines vs a single line) and the indication on the instrument. Where the newer model just gives a number between 0 and 10 for the angle, this one actually gives an angle in degrees. On the reverse of the instrument there is a table to convert the angle into a tangent as well as a metric - imperial conversion table. The tangent numbers can be used to compute the height difference is the length is given.
