This 10 point divider was used in hydrography to divide the distance between two consecutive positions and the corresponding echosounder record into equal parts for quick plotting. In Dutch this instrument is also called the 'luizenkam' or 'lice comb' due to its many points. This instrument is formerly from Delft Hydraulics and was used by Lodewijk (Lo) Nienhuis whom gifted it to me.
