A 20 m chain where the links are 50 cm apart (centre of the eye to centre of the eye). From the start of the chain to the first link is 5 cm; halfway there is another link indicating 5 m. Steel with brass handles. The pins (11 for ten lengths) are around 35 cm long (or more probably, 16").
