In my collection I have one full ell of 68.9 cm and two halff ells of 34.5 cm each. Or rather, that is how long they are supposed to be. The full ell is (was) missing its endcap. I have manufactured one from brass but the length is still a few mm's of. The total length was determined from the other marks. Of the two half ells one seems to be longer than it should be (but only at the last sectio near the tip). The other is accurate but has a tip which is not part of the measurement. All are made of tropical woods; the long one stated as mahogany; the others unknown.
