This pillar plate was (is?) used to mount an instrument on top of a concrete pillar or similar where a normal tripod cannot be used. The pillar plate comes with its own (separate) bubble level and is in as new condition. It is not branded but it is marked 'Made in Switzerland' and has the typical Wild green. It could however also have been Kern? The Wild pillar plates in Greg Bennetts collection are of a different make, so both could be true.
