Trimble 7400 MSi
Trimble 7400 MSi High Precision Real Time Kinematic GPS receiver.
The Trimble 7400 MSi is a high precision survey blackbox receiver. Not much is described about the MSi type but its sister, the RSi was a Reference Suveyor whereas the DSi was a differential station. Based on the brochure the differences are small but possibly significant? The unit was meant for marine use and is completely waterproof. It uses Lemo connectors rather than RS232 improving its watertightness. These units were produced in the late 1990s and had a total of 9 GPS L1/L2 channels and Maxwell technology.
This unit was part of a larger donation from CT-Systems. As far as I have understood they traded these units in from the survey contractor DEEP when they purchased new GPS Systems.
