A survey version of the Navistar classic navigation sextant. The main differences with the regular navigation sextant are tha addition of a vertical handle to allow easier handling when taking horizontal angles, the addition of a 90 degree prism allowing the measurement of angles from 90 to 210 degrees as well as from the regular 0 to 120 degrees. The drum of this sextant has an additional vernier allowing angles to be read directly to 0.2 of a minute and estimated to 0.1 of a degree.
