Equerre
Brass eight sided equerre.
Product details: Equerre | | Squares | | Material: Brass
Hard to date, most of these instruments come from the 19th century. The box that came along with it (riddled with active wood-worm and was put in the freezer in a plastic bag for a month) is also period correct for the 19th century. Some of the (horse) hairs are still there. With the equerre (literally 'straight angle' in French) angles in increments of 45 degrees can be set out.
