Telescopic prism staff
Product details: Telescopic prism staff | | Tripods and staffs | | Material: Aluminium
These staffs come from the Rijkswaterstaat geodetic department where they were phased out. Not because they are no longer usable but because they have been replaced with the much lighter carbon fibre type. These staffs are very heavy but also very hard to break. Both staffs are telescopic allowing them to be extended to over 3 meters of total length for the long one.
With the staffs is a 'sand foot' which was probably custom made. This foot plate is used in sandy area's to prevent the point from pushing into the ground. With the foot plate under the pole the bottom of the pole is the actual level of the ground. These sand foot can only be attached to a metal pole as they would immediately crunch a carbon fibre one.
