Wild Heerbrugg T16 (new)
The succesor to the T16.
Product details: Wild Heerbrugg T16 (new) | Wild Heerbrugg | Optical theodolite | Survey | Material: Brass
The T161 is the direct succesor to the original T16 and is essentially the same from a measurement perspective. It looks a little bit more modern in the same style as the T2mod and the T1mod. What is different from all the other instruments is that this one comes with an orange bullit case rather than the usual olive drab coloured one. Also the case is different in that the base is much higher and has a different locking mechanism. The locking mechanism has actually managed to chafe some of the paint of the instrument so for me the old method (hook on the instrument) certainly seems better. This was probably cheaper in an ever ongoing attempt by Wild to minimize the number of parts and thus produce the instrument more efficiently without losing the accuracy.
