Small instrument using a glass wedge next to a clear glass pane to displace the object. Using the telescope the image can be magnified about 3 power to increase the accuracy. By sliding the telescope along the glass wedge the displacement changes. The actual distance is read from a rule sliding along a graph on which the object size is indicated by a series of lines.
