Wild Heerbrugg TM0
Product details: Wild Heerbrugg TM0 | Wild Heerbrugg | Stadimeter | | Material: Aluminium
This small rangefinder is the smallest (25 cm baseline) of the 'subtense' rangfinders I have seen so far. The other subtense rangefinders in my collection (TM10, TM1, TM2) have a much larger baseline. It is longer than the 'sextant' type rangefinders such as the Ajax and Schick but much lighter. It is also more accurate than the equally light Davis and Schick MkIII or Stuart. This instrument could almost fit in your pocket. It has however a very poor performance as the optics are very simple without using lenses. As a result the displaced image is 'picture in picture' making it hard to position it correctly. And with a range of up to 500 m it does not measure as far either. However, fun device.
