Wild-Aga TM3S
Wild Heerbrugg TM3S - AGA Baltic 1.25 m AMS m/41
Probably the largest of the distance meter that I can easily obtain and get shipped. Even this one is already a beast in a chest of around 1.5 m long. The next one in line would be the TM4 with a baseline of 1.5 m versus the 1.25 m in this one. And Wild Heerbrugg made them even larger with baselines of 3 m (and more). This is the 'S' or 'Stereoscopic' version which relies on the human eye to merge to images across a scale. Which makes it impossible for me to use as earlier experiments with my TM2S have demonstrated (where my wife could do some distance measurements and I never even saw any depth).
What makes this different is that all the documentation and labels except for the label on the telemeter itself read 'AGA Baltic' and that the type number from Wild Heerbrugg is missing. Instrument and accesoires are labeled with AGA-Baltic, probably the reseller. This is a bit a-typical as AGA-Baltic is well known for their radio's, but not for their optical equipment. Possibly the Swedish military required a Swedish supplier and AGA-Baltic stepped into this gap. That also identifies the sell date of this particular instrument somewhere between 1928 and 1946 as AGA aquired Baltic-Radio in 1928 and stopped using the Baltic adjective in 1946.
