Product details: Wild Heerbrugg N2 / NK2 (old) | Wild Heerbrugg | Tilting levels | Survey |
The N2 / NK2 was the mainstay of the (geodetic) landsurveyor for many years. With its reversible level / telescope it allowed compensation of measurement errors. The instrument is relatively heavy and very sturdy. Both of them are still in perfect working order. The NK2 still bears the markings from Rijkswaterstaat, the Dutch water management authority, where it was the standard level instrument for the second order levelling surveys (the N3 was used for first order levelling). The case is heavily 'decorated' with transport labels; the last of which reads 'Meetkundige Dienst, Delft'. The instrument was transported by 'van Gend and Loos', a company now part of DHL.
