Wild Heerbrugg N31
Wild Heerbrugg N31 high precision level with plan parallel plate micrometer
It took me quite some time to add this instrument to my collection. The most accurate level ever made by Wild Heerbrugg it is still in full use with many surveyors today. As a result prices are extreme and still the instrument is quite rare on the market. It is also a beast of an instrument compared to its contemporary counterparts such as the NA2 (with GPM) or NA2002 / 3000.
I came across this one and it was surprisingly affordable. After receiving it the reason was quite clear, the main level is broken rendering it useless. Finding a replacement level has so far been impossible. If you have one, don't hesiate to contact me! The parts of the level are still there and it seems this one has a similar problem to one of my earlier N21 units. Essentially the end of the level vial has separated from the glass and thus emptied. Refiling it should be possible once I have determined the right type of glue... Until then it makes a nice display piece.
